Our circus features a 35,000 gallons water stage! Isn't that crazy? We're like no other circus in the United States, you can be sure- and we take pride in our uniqueness. During the show, you won't believe your eyes when the lid lifts up to 35 feet in the air while a CURTAIN OF RAIN AND FOUNTAINS GLISTEN WITH EACH PERFORMANCE MOVE! Indeed, our show wouldn't be the same without our artists' spectacular performances! We have artists from all over the world that will make you feel like a child again, keep you entertained and craving for more! Don?t forget the atmosphere you'll be able to experience. You'll feel like you've been transported to Italy! Authentic Italian tradition and origins is what characterizes us, starting from our founder and inspirator, Manuel Rebecchi. As the nephew of Moira Orfei, the owner and soul of the most famous circus in Italy, Manuel can truly say that the circus runs in his blood. He knows this industry and world like no other! His passion, knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit have all combined to make of this show an experience to remember for a lifetime. ?I want to see people have fun, enjoy the show, and go out with a smile and the desire to come back!? says Manuel. Chante DeMoustes, our COO and producer who's indefatigable in bringing innovation, has welcomed brand new acts and classiness to our show! Cirque Italia brings performers with unique talent, and is also an animal-free show. This is for those who may wonder what type of circus we are. THE MUSICAL CLOWNS are our show animators. They display a wide variety of musical slapstick and side-splitting comedy! And how about the VERTICALI ACT all the way from Italy? Wouldn't you like to hear our artist sing Andrea Bocelli while performing UPSIDE DOWN? Then, are you ready to see the optical illusion and hypnotism of our LASERMAN ACT? Watch the laws of physics crumble when the performer actually "holds" a beam of light in his hand, splits it into two, then bends it and wields it like a saber of light! And more magic in the air with the TWIN SAILORS cause mischief with the audience, and perform the DUO AERIAL RING! Children of all ages will be eager for our spectacular MERMAID, emerging from her shell and swimming through the fountains! Hey girls and guys, do you know that she will be delighted to take pictures with you too? This is merely a description of what you'll see and experience! Nov 9    English/Spanish Conversation Group
If your New Year’s Resolution is to meet people and learn Spanish, then the Judy B. McDonald Public Library has just the program.

The library is offering a second Spanish/English Conversation Group on alternating Mondays at 5:00 p.m. beginning February 2. This is in addition to the original conversation group that meets every Tuesday at noon.
“This is a great way to learn another language. We have had people ask if we offer English or Spanish classes. While this is not a class, this is one avenue for English-speakers who are interested in practicing their Spanish skills to meet with Spanish-speakers who want to practice their English skills. We converse in one language for the first half-hour then switch to the other language for the second half-hour. We learn from each other and have a great time. All levels of speaking abilities are welcome. No registration is required,” says Mercedes Franks, library director.

Nov 21    10,000 Villages International Market at Westminster Presbyterian Church
Gifts of quality improving quality of life. Friday, November 20 to Saturday, November 21, the Westminster Presbyterian Church fellowship hall will be transformed into an International Market. Visitors will discover a unique collection of handmade gifts, home decor, musical instruments, jewelry, serve ware, crafts and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. The sale is in Westminster Hall, 903 North St.; shopping hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, November 20, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, November 21. The annual shopping event showcases handcrafted items marketed by Ten Thousand Villages, a nonprofit fair trade organization and a founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization. Work sold through the Ten Thousand Villages improves the livelihood of tens of thousands of disadvantaged artisans in 38 countries. Product sales help pay for food, education, health care and housing for artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. All sales revenue generated by Ten Thousand Villages and any surplus earned by operations are retained within the organization. Surpluses are used to increase purchases from artisans and to finance the growth of Ten Thousand Villages retail network. The 2015 Ten Thousand Villages International Market includes items made by members of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Sales of these items will benefit local, regional and global mission work of the church. Members of Westminster Presbyterian Church donated time and talent to craft a Christmas quilt that will be displayed during the International Market. Tickets for a chance to win the quilt are on sale now and proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to Love INC. of Nacogdoches and Christian Men?s Job Corps. Fair trade coffees, teas, chocolates and olive oil benefiting Westminster Presbyterian Youth projects will also be sold at the event.

Nov 23    English/Spanish Conversation Group

Nov 28    2015 Wassail Fest
Downtown merchants will once again be competing for bragging rights for the best holiday brew during Wassail Fest, one of the highlights of the 19th annual Nine Flags Christmas Festival.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 28th.

Wassail will be served at various shops, stores and restaurants within the historic downtown district.

A list of participating merchants can be picked up at the Visitor Center, located at 200 E. Main St. Shoppers and other downtown visitors are invited to warm their bodies and spirits by sampling the various recipes, which will be judged on both taste and presentation.

Participating merchants are also battling for the coveted People's Choice award in which shoppers and visitors will be able to cast their vote for the best wassail. The competition is fierce, but the wassail is a warm and welcome respite for holiday shoppers.

Come out on November 28th to enjoy the Holiday fun!
