NACOGDOCHES, May 10, 2017 - Central Heights, Martinsville and Nacogdoches High Schools are excited to present their sixth annual "The Red Eye Theatre Project," this Saturday, May 13th, at 7 p.m. in the NHS Auditorium.
Tickets are $6, and all proceed will benefit the three theatre programs equally.
The three schools are mixed into five groups, given a mentor, and have 24 hours to write, memorize, tech and student direct a completely original five minute play. Everything is written, directed and lead by the students.
The students meet at 7 p.m. on Friday night and when the curtain goes up on Saturday night at 7 p.m., they are ready to perform. This is an amazing testament to the student's talents and creativity.
Our judges, Amanda Heron and TJ Davis, will award acting awards, tech awards, and Judge's Choice for Best Play.
The audience gets to vote as well, for "The People's Choice" award by placing a monetary donation into the box that corresponds with their favorite show.
For more information, please contact NHS theatre teacher Victoria Perry at vperry@nacisd.org.
