STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. By offering STEAM classes, the public library strives to provide an environment where children can become engaged in fun, hands-on learning activities in an informal setting. The October STEAM 4 Kids will be aligned with the NEA Big Read Nacogdoches events and Station 11. We will be studying wilderness survival skills which will include shelter building, orienteering, tracking, sewing, and more! Ages 7-12 years. Children under 8 are welcome when accompanied by a caregiver. Free. Please register by the day before the event. You may register by calling 936-559-2970, in person, or online at www.ci.nacogdoches.tx.us/library.
