Nacogdoches, Texas - the Garden Capital of Texas - will showcase some of its most beautifully landscaped gardens during the Tour of Home Gardens. Join us in the garden, Sunday, May 20, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and are on sale throughout Nacogdoches. University Dr.; • The Bosslight, 123 E. Main St.; and • Charles Pool Real Estate, 3505 North St. Tickets include a discount of $5 off the purchase of two entrees at The Fredonia Hotel & Convention Center's 1st City Café that can be used any time between May 19 and May 31, 2018. This exclusive tour is thoughtfully curated by the Garden Capital of Texas Committee and includes stunning private home gardens and public gardens. Details for each garden destination will be on the ticket. Sponsors of the 2018 Tour of Home Gardens are Stretch ER, BancorpSouth, The Monarch Group of Raymond James, Landworks Landscapes and Pest Control, and The Fredonia Hotel & Convention Center. Money raised by the tour will help fund the Garden Capital committee's local planting efforts. The Garden Capital Committee has planted more than 1,500 trees in the past four years. The Arbor Day Foundation officially designated Nacogdoches as a Tree City in 2015, after the city partnered with the Garden Capital committee and Keep Nac Beautiful to meet four core standards of urban forestry management.
