The mission of the Nacogdoches Film Festival is to build awareness of independent films and short films as an art form; provide educational opportunities for Stephen F. Austin State University students and other Texas filmmakers; and create opportunities for communities in rural East Texas to experience high quality films. On Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, several free events take place.
From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. selections from the 2015 Short Film Competition will be shown.
At 6:30, a discussion panel on Entertainment Law and Filmmaking will be held.
At 7:30 p.m Short Film Competition Awards will be presented. At 8:00 p.m. the film "Flutter" will be shown.
A Q&A with writer/producers Andy Cope and Eric Hueber follows.
From 10 - 11:15 p.m. "Road to Austin" will be screened. A Q&A with director Gary Fortin follows.
